Synopsis:

In a country in the grips of evil, in a police state where every move is being watched, in a world where justice and honor have been subverted, a group of men hidden inside the highest reaches of power decide to take action. Ramayan’ A brand new series based on Valmiki’s Ramayan and Tulsidas’ Ramcharitmanas will be unveiled by Sagar Arts starting January 21st on NDTV Imagine. The new ‘Ramayan’ will air from Monday through Thursday at 9:30 pm IST on NDTV Imagine.The characters in Ramayan will be essayed by a new generation of actors - Gurmeet Choudhary will play the lead of Lord Ram, while Debina Bonnerjee plays Sita. The 3 key characters - Lakshman, Bharat and Shatrughan will be played by Ankit Arora, Vije Bhatia and Lalit Negi respectively.

Story Line:

Everyday there is a war being waged on America’s inner city streets–a war between residents, drug dealers and the people sworn to protect one from the other. This war has its casualties, none greater than L.A.P.D. Detective Sergeant Alonzo Harris, a 13-year veteran narcotics officer whose questionable methodology blurs the line between legality and corruption. His optimism has long since been chipped away by his tour of duty in the streets, where fighting crime by the book can get you killed and getting the job done often requires Alonzo and his colleagues to break the laws they are empowered to enforce. This crime tale shadows Alonzo as he tests the resolve of wide-eyed, idealistic rookie Jake Hoyt, who has one day and one day only to prove himself to his fiercely charismatic superior. Over the next 24-hours, Jake will be pulled deeper and deeper into the ethical mire of Alonzo’s logic as both men put their lives and careers on the line to serve their conflicting notions of justice.

Story Line:

Lakshmi (Kaajal) is the daughter Rayavaram sarpanch (Sayaji Shinde) and Ramu is the son of Lakshmi’s paternal aunt (Prabha).  Ramu allways wants Lakshmi happyness and both love each other. Meanwhile, Ramu’s friend Gopalam (Srinivasa Reddy) falls in love with Parijatham (Suhasini) who is the daughter of a prostitute who belonging to Kotipalli. The villagers of Rayavaram and Kotipalli are rivals over a Siva temple and puts a barricade. Kotipalli president’s son Giridhar (Ajay) happens to see Lakshmi and loses his to marry her he kills his wife. and teases lakshmi. However, Lakshmi’s father,aggres to marry her with Giridhar and when villagers oppose he proposes to hold a bullock cart race and if Ramu fails to win, he should agree Lakshmi’s marriage of her father’s choice.  Who will win the race and who will marry lakshmi is the rest of the story.
