Masailmani Movie Review :

Masi (Nakul) is an orphan living in a lower middle class colony. With a heart of gold, he is a popular guy who takes up local issues, fights for them and is considered as a rowdy by those who don’t know him. Enter the heroine Divya (Sunaina), a rich upper middle class girl who is a dance instructor and with whom Masi falls in love at the first sight. But Divya shows aversion to his rowdisam and gets offended with his proposal. Masi doesn’t loose heart and attempts to win Divya’s family by being a goody boy and dons another name, Mani. Except Divya, all are aware that both Mani and Masi is one person. Later when Divya finds out the truth, she gets into dilemma as whom she has to choose.

To add further to hero’s woes, Bhoopathy, the local corrupt Sub Inspector who is also behind Divya, is determined to flop the hero’s plans and seeks to uncover his disguise of Mani. He is always on look out to prove that Mani is none other than Masi, the rowdy. How Mani wins over Divya against all odds serves as the climax of the movie.

Story Line:

Arundhathee (Anushka) is the great grand daughter of the Kandarva Kottai Maharaja. The family arranges for her wedding with her lover (Deepak). One day, he urges her to come to the fort of Kandarva Kottai, where she faces a horrible experience. Learning the story from her servant (Manorama), Arundhathee comes to know that she is the rebirth of her great grandmother Jekkamma (Anushka). Jekkamma was an expert in painting, dancing and fighting. She thrashes her sister’s husband Pasupathi (Sonu Sood), who was a womanizer, and throws him out of the country. He had forced Jekkamma’s sister to commit suicide. When everyone thought that Pasupathy was dead, he was actually saved by ‘Aghoras’, who served the devils. Pasupathi becomes one and comes to Kandarva Kottai to take revenge on Jekkamma. After an intense battle, Jekkamma cuts off his tongue and buries him alive in a tomb. However, after three generations, Pasupathy come out of the tomb to take revenge on Arundhathee. Did he manage to do it forms the climax.

Story Line:

Shanmugam (Parthiban), a veterinary doctor, lives in the city with his wife Valarmati(Devayani) and their two children. In school, Shanmugam was in love with his classmate Dhanalakshmi but fate had forced them to go their separate ways, with Dhanalakshmi (Nandita Das) being forced to wed her brother-in-law. One day, Shanmugam spots Dhanalakshmi, who, having lost her husband, now lives a life of poverty on the platforms with her son, Balu. After an unsuccessful attempt to find her a job in a friend’s house, he hires her as their servant-maid. However, memories of the past starts to create a tension between Shanmugam and Dhanam, despite their attempts to maintain a distance.

One day, Valarmati finds out from Shanmugam’s old classmates how they both were in love when they were young and she starts fearing that Shanmugam will leave her and her children for Dhanam. Valarmati becomes so distraught that she even humiliates Dhanam at a party organized by one of their friends. When they return home, Valarmati confronts Shanmugam and an argument ensues. Unfortunately, Dhanam overhears their argument and silently goes to bed. The next morning, Dhanam and Balu are nowhere to be found. When Shanmugam searches the house, he finds a letter written by Dhanam saying that she wants Valarmati and Shanmugam to be happy and that she doesn’t want to interfere. Soon, Valarmati realises the truth and wants to bring Dhanam back home and ask her for her forgiveness.

Shanmugam searches high and low for them and at last finds Balu in an orphanage. The matron informs them that his mother had left instructions that her son should remain at the orphanage till her return. However, when the matron questions Balu, he replies that he wants to go with Shanmugam and stay in their house and to tell his mother that she is there when she returns. The matron agrees and lets him go. At the beginning of the movie, it is mentioned that Balu has been adopted by Shanmugam but still continues to call him “Sir” and never “Father or “Dad”. As Parthiban leaves for home from the orphanage, he mentions that he is still searching for the whereabouts of Dhanalakshmi to this day.

Story Line :

Annamalai (jeevan) who is busy conning rich girls and disappears. However, his picture appears in newspaper through an interview of Maria (rachana) who says that she has become a saint thanks to Annamalai and left her mafia lifestyle. This interview catches the attention of other beauties - Deepa (lakshmi rai) who is an actress, Nisha (swetha menon), Sakhi (sruthi). All three of them are cheated by Annamalai and they get in touch with Maria for his whereabouts. Meanwhile, Annamalai meets with an accident and he is rescued by Mahi (sangeetha), a Sri Lankan. Annamalai later realizes that she is separated from her child and decides to help her. Meanwhile, all the girls come after him. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Movie Story :Siva (Nakul) is a happy-go-lucky youngster who hates love. He is against romance and even goes to the extent of separating those stuck in love. In contrast, Pooja (Poorna), who lives in Nagercoil, is totally opposite to Siva. She supports those who fall in love and helps them get married. Interestingly, Siva’s sister falls in love with Pooja’s cousin in Chennai. Pooja promises to unite them. Siva is dead against Pooja’s attempts and tries to separate the love couple. But after a few encounters with Pooja, his heart softens. He develops an affinity towards her, which turns into romance. A youth who was desperate behind Pooja ends his life. His father Annachi (Sampath) vows to spoil the happiness in Pooja’s family. He starts killing everyone around her. Siva now gets ready to take him. He promises that he would end Annachi’s menace and marry Pooja in just three days. Did he marries her or not forms the rest of the movie.

Plot Summary:

The film is about a hi-tech thief Azhagu (Daniel Balaji) befriending a petty thief Satya (Nithin Satya). Eventually, they’ve their own girlfriends and story moves ahead. But precisely ahead of these guys, there’s a parallel story of political murder. If you’re still thinking what the connection between these two parallel stories is, there is. There’s a strange person (Chetan) who doesn’t speak a much to his neighbors Azhagu and Satya. Commissioner from Mumbai (Kishore) lands in Chennai for the confusion stirred up due to a strange phone call. Things take a twist of turn once these characterizations come across each with an unpredictable climax.
