Sarkar Raj  Movie Review :

The first movie Sarkar, conclude as Shankar Nagre (Abhishek Bachchan) attempted murder by killing his own brother Vishnu (Kay Kay Menon) and his fellow masterminds Rashid, Selva Mani, Vishram Bhagat and the Swamiji. 

Shakar Raj Movie begins with public greeting Subhash Nagre’s (Amitabh Bachchan’s) 60th birthday and  sarkar’s life is still the same. While Chander (Ravi Kale) takes the resposible of security and day- to day dealings.  One day, Hassan Qazi (Govind Namdeo) and deputy Chief Minister Kanga (Shayaji Shinde) talks a new plan to get rid of Sarkar and his regime by arraging meeting with a London based business tycoon Anita (Aishwarya Rai) and her father Mike (Victor Banerjee).  As they want to set up  a power plant in Maharashtra’s Thakarwadi village, at Sankar’s place. Sankar is not happy with her power plant idea as it will ruin the 40,000 houses of the villagers and he says he take decision by talking to Rao Saab , his mentor. Meanwhile   Sanjay Somji (Rajesh Shringapure), the grandson of Rao saab stands  against to build the power plant. He starts provoking the villagers against Shankar and Sarkar.  Here Shankar and Anitha fall in love .  Sarkar talks with Somji over the phone and Shankar’s car explodes. The rest of the movie who did this explosure and why ??? and what happens to Shankar and Anitha relationship??

Performances :

RGV Direction and screenplay  excellent and he surpasses his first movie Shankar with a punching story and using best from the characters. Abhishek gives his best performances after Yuva and Guru. Aishwarya Rai  even with limited scenes, leaves her mark like her scene with Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek in the hospital. Tanisha as Shankar’s wife has a limited scenes. while the other character actors like Chander, Kanga, Vora, Somji, Rao saab and Qazi are used very effectively giving each one of them an equal oppurtunity and making even more interesting.
 
All as Sankar Raj is a rare sequel that surpasses its classic .  A rare Sequel   which is  incredibly to be as good as or even better than the original. Ram Gopal Varma’s Sarkar Raj not only lives up to its expectation but also exceeds in some respects.
